About Northgate Condominiums

Northgate is one of the largest condominium neighborhoods in Reston. With over 400 units, Northgate was initially constructed as rental apartments in the early 1970's.  About 15 years later, in the mid-80's, Northgate began a gradual conversion to condominium ownership.  

 

Over the next seven years each unit was restored to like new condition and offered for sale to individual owners.  Since the original Northgate infrastructure included its own central heating and cooling plant. Northgate Condominium Association fees include heating, cooling, electricity, water, sewer, trash, recycling, snow removal from the parking lots, and maintenance of the common area.

Northgate condos come in a variety of 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units housed within 4, and, more commonly, 3 story buildings.  The 1 bedroom units have a single bath and 3 bedroom units offer 2 baths.  2 bedroom units with addresses in the 1400's are equipped with 2 baths while the units with addresses in the 1500's have only one.
